Our work

Amplifying voices

We give voice and space to women, farmers, fisher communities, landowners, human rights defenders, and environmental and land rights activists. Through radio programs, they discuss challenges, denounce violence and rights abuses by businesses and corporations in the Albertine region, share their stories, and participate actively in political discussions and debates.

We seed change through valuable content

We provide information that helps communities protect themselves from the risks they face. Through news bulletins, interactive debates, features, in depth reports, and short interventions, we connect local, regional, national, and international political issues to the daily lives of our audience, empowering them to become agents of change.

Prevent conflict

We produce programming that prevents conflict by promoting inclusive dialogue grounded in respect for speaking time and the representation of diverse perspectives.

Access and language justice

We broadcast in multiple regional languages, including Lugungu, Runyoro, Lingala, Baletha, Swahili, and Alur. This approach strengthens access, upholds language diversity, and advances language justice. We also establish listening clubs in villages to encourage information exchange and learning among smallholder farmers.

Raise awareness

We produce programs that raise awareness of global warming, illegal wildlife trafficking, poaching, and the trade in endangered wildlife and plant species. We inform communities about environmental conservation, tree planting, climate smart agriculture, and effective advocacy for the protection of degraded land, forests, and species.

Education

We deliver agricultural extension services and disseminate best farming practices, including agroecology. We educate farmers on diversified production systems such as coffee, aquaculture, oilseeds, and livestock while emphasizing environmental and resilience benefits, including integrated soil fertility management. We also train journalists on environmental reporting and food security issues.
